The confrontation between Theodor Herzl and Moritz Benedikt, the owner of the Neue Freie Presse, the largest newspaper in Vienna, where Herzl worked. For years, Benedikt was Herzl's mentor. However, after the publication of The Jewish State, he became one of Herzl's most vehement opponents.

The story of a traveler who came to Jerusalem to make a pilgrimage to the Temple in the year 66, on the eve of the uprising against Rome. An original description of the ancient city, but also of its corruption and the unhealthy atmosphere that would lead to the war and the subsequent destruction of the Temple.
